Sexual Assault Lawsuits at Carbon Health Urgent Care

Philly Daily has reported that Ramon Garcia, a former Medical Assistant at Carbon Health Urgent Care has pled guilty to posing as a Nurse and sexually assaulting multiple Carbon Health patients while working at the company’s Philadelphia, Abington Township, and Dresher, Pennsylvania, locations. So far, 18 victims of sexual assault have been identified. On March 25, 2025, Mr. Garcia was sentenced to five (5) to 10 years in prison and five (5) months of probation.

A civil lawsuit has been filed on behalf of a victim against both Mr. Garcia and Carbon Health jointly by Attorney Robert Lynch, at Hoffman, Sternberg, Karpf & Lynch, LLC, and Attorney Kevin O’Brien, at Stampone O’Brien Dilsheimer Holloway. Carbon Health has refused to comment or provide any information to Philly Daily regarding the matter.

How did this happen?

During these sexual assault incidents, Mr. Garcia was able to use his employment status at Carbon Health to take advantage of patients’ trust and deceive them into thinking his criminal sexual behavior was actually part of a proper “physical examination” at Carbon Health.

Healthcare facilities and healthcare professionals hold positions of trust with their patients. These patients often seek treatment in a potentially vulnerable setting and have to rely on employees at these healthcare facilities to provide necessary medical services while ensuring that their patients are safe. Unfortunately, this responsibility is often mishandled.
